Is SIMPLEOS custodial? SIMPLEOS 是托管钱包吗?

No. SIMPLEOS is a non-custodial wallet: private keys are created and stored on your device only. We do not operate user accounts, keep recovery seeds, or run a brokerage. Backups are produced locally and can be restored without contacting us. Because there is no custody layer, nobody — including the SIMPLEOS team — can freeze, reverse, or move your assets. This model eliminates counter-party risk and aligns with how EOS was designed to be used.

How do I verify the download? 如何校验下载文件?

Every release publishes SHA-256 checksums and a PGP signature. After downloading, compute the file hash and compare it to the value in the release notes. Then verify the signature against our public key fingerprint. If both checks pass, you can be confident the package is authentic and has not been tampered with in transit or by mirrors. Verification takes less than a minute and is the single best defense against supply-chain attacks.

Yes. SIMPLEOS supports Ledger Nano S/X for secure key storage and transaction signing. When adding an account, choose “Hardware” and follow the guided pairing flow. Transactions are prepared on the desktop, reviewed on the device screen, and signed inside the secure element — your private key never touches application memory. Advanced users can combine Ledger with offline broadcasting for an additional layer of protection.

SIMPLEOS lets you select EOS API nodes from a curated list or configure custom endpoints. A health monitor prefers low-latency nodes and falls back to a secondary if a request fails. You can override routing per network and restrict to self-hosted infrastructure if your organization requires it. Endpoint settings are stored locally and can be exported alongside your configuration.

Open the Resources panel to view current usage, moving averages, and congestion forecasts. You can stake for CPU/NET, rent temporary bandwidth, or buy additional RAM directly from the same screen. Cost simulation estimates fees before you confirm. If the network is spiking, SIMPLEOS offers actionable tips to prevent stuck transactions and provides one-click stake adjustments.

Does SIMPLEOS collect analytics? 是否收集统计数据?

No. SIMPLEOS contains no telemetry, advertising trackers, or fingerprinting scripts. Optional crash reports are disabled by default; if you enable them, they are scrubbed of personal data and sent only when you explicitly consent. We prefer community-driven feedback, public issues, and reproducible test cases over background data collection.

What if my transaction is stuck? 交易卡住怎么办?

First, check your CPU stake and endpoint health. Low CPU or a congested node are the usual culprits. The Troubleshoot drawer shows real-time diagnostics and suggests remedies: stake a small amount of CPU, switch to a healthy API node, or retry with a slightly higher fee where applicable. The history view explains exactly which step failed, so you can resolve issues without guesswork.

How are keys secured? 密钥如何保护?

Private keys are encrypted at rest using modern ciphers and, where supported, stored via the operating system’s keychain. The signer runs in an isolated process with a minimal API, and the UI cannot read secrets directly. You can require a passphrase to unlock and enable idle auto-lock to reduce exposure on shared machines.

SIMPLEOS checks for updates only when you ask. You decide when to install. Each release includes a changelog, checksums, and PGP signatures. We avoid forced restarts and never auto-apply changes that could disrupt your workflow.

Restore from an encrypted backup and passphrase, or reconnect your hardware wallet. Because we do not keep custody or recovery seeds, we cannot help recover funds without your backups — this is by design to keep control in your hands.
